In these User Rules, “Gixon” means the Gixon app and website, and “User Content” means the biographic details, pictures, photos, comments, videos (including any promotional musical performance videos you upload to your profile if you are an artist), reviews, content, or other materials you upload or post via Gixon.
When using Gixon, you must not upload, post, comment, download, transmit, store or make available any:
User Content that could damage Gixon’s reputation or is offensive, harmful, tortious, obscene, pornographic, hateful, inflammatory, racist, invasive of another’s privacy, libellous, defamatory, slanderous, or otherwise objectionable;
User Content that violates the intellectual property rights of another person or organisation or violates any applicable law, rule or regulation;
unauthorised messages, comments, spam, or chain letters, including commercial advertising and informational announcements; or
material that contains viruses or any other malicious computer code, files or programs designed to harm, interfere or limit the normal operation of Gixon or any other computer software or hardware available on Gixon.
When using Gixon, you must not:
act fraudulently, including pretending to be someone else (other than your professional pseudonym or alias), lying about your age, sending data from another person’s app or account, harming another person, or otherwise lying about your connection with any person or organisation. Gixon may reject or block any device, account, or email address which it suspects may to be an impersonation or false identity, or the use of another person’s name or identity without permission;
use any part of Gixon, including any content other than your own content in any way to create a service that competes with or replicates Gixon;
violate copyright or other intellectual property, including adapting, copying, republishing, making available, communicating to the public, displaying, performing, transferring, sharing, distributing or otherwise using or exploiting any content other than your own content (including uploading any User Content which you do not have the right to upload), unless it is your User Content;
do anything to fraudulently alter the popularity of your User Content, including the use of bots, scripts, apps, plugins and extensions other than those offered by Gixon;
reveal any trade secret or confidential information in violation of an employment or non-disclosure agreement;
interfere with or disrupt Gixon or our provision of Gixon and related services (including accessing Gixon and related services through any automated means like scripts or web crawlers), or any servers or networks connected to Gixon, or any policies, requirements or regulations of networks connected to Gixon (including any unauthorised access to, use or monitoring of data or traffic);
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Gixon or otherwise attempt to obtain its source code;
copy, rip or capture any User Content other than as permitted on Gixon;
gather and store personal data of other users;
violate, circumvent or attempt to violate or circumvent any of Gixon’s data security measures;
violate the rights of another person or organisation, including their intellectual property rights or privacy rights;
stalk, exploit, threaten, abuse or otherwise harass another user or any Gixon employee;
engage in, encourage, or promote any criminal conduct or violate any applicable law, rule or regulation;
remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other property notice;
use, copy, reproduce, modify, translate, or create derivative works, adaptations or compilations of, or based on, Gixon or any part of it, other than as explicitly permitted by Gixon;
allow any other person to use or access Gixon from your device, or access or attempt to access Gixon from another person’s device;
transfer, sub-license, lease, sell, share, loan, rent, modify, distribute, or otherwise make available your ability to view, access, or use Gixon without our written permission; or
attempt to do any of the things described above, or help, encourage, or allow any other person to do them.
